Graveside Services and burial for Mrs. Thelma Christensen HANSEN, 64, took place at the Ephraim Park Cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. HANSEN died 3:00 p.m. November 01 at her home in Salt Lake City following a stroke.
She was born at Ephraim, August 03, 1899, to Charles J. and Marie Elizabeth Frost CHRISTENSEN. She attended local schools and was a member of the Ladies Mountain Echo Band that made Ephraim well known throughout the state. She also attended the University of Utah.
She was married to Merrill B. HANSEN, July 25, 1918, in the Manti LDS Temple. He died in 1953. She filled a mission to the Northern States in 1955, was an active temple worker and a member of the Capitol Hill LDS Ward Relief Society. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Survivors include sons and daughters, Mrs. Arthur N. (Lois) JENSEN, Geniel JENSEN, Miss Sarah Elizabeth HANSEN, Charles B. and Robert R. HANSEN, all of Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Rudolph (Ethel) NIELSEN, Milford; Mrs. Bruce (Norma) TAGGART, Mrs. Reed (Edith) CANNON, Mrs. J. Heber (Mabel) RUTTER and C. Carrol CHRISTENSEN, all of Salt Lake City, and Seymour E. CHRISTENSEN, Ephraim.
Funeral Services were held at the Capitol Hill LDS Ward Chapel in Salt Lake City at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday after which the body was brought to Ephraim for burial beside her husband.
Leo CHRISTENSEN of Redmond, a cousin, offered the invocation at the Graveside Service; Ora L. HANSEN, a brother-in-law, spoke; Roger HANSEN, a nephew, read a tribute written by Edith Peterson LARSEN, and Bruce CHRISTENSEN of Ephraim, a nephew, dedicated the grave.
