Death of Mrs. W. E. Cave Occasions
Profound Regret.
Succumbed to a Brief Illness
at 11 o'clock Last Night.
Mrs. W. E. Cave, after a two weeks' illness died last night at 11 o'clock at her home on North Seventh street, and thus ended the life of one of Paducah's most beautiful and lovable women. For the past several days death had been expected, and yesterday it became evident that dissolution was near at hands. She began slowly to sink and last night breathed her last, surrounded by her family.
The deceased was second daughter of the late Mr. B. H. Wisdom, and was born August 15, 1863, at Clarksville, Tenn. She was married to Rev. Cave October 23, 1885, and six children survive them, as follows: Belle, Henry, Mary, Edward, Nellie, and Jack. Two sisters survive her, Mrs. George O. Wallace of the city and Mrs. Charles J. Bronston of Lexington.
The deceased was prominent in church and charity work and a most lovable lady in every particular, with many friends wherever she was known.
Her sister, Mrs. Bronston, who is in Boston, has been summoned and is expected as soon as she can get here.
The funeral will take place Monday morning at 10 o'clock from the First Presbyterian church, burial at Oak Grove.
