Mrs. Godwin was born in Randolph County and spent her entire life in Randolph and Delaware Counties. She was the widow of Parmer Godwin.
She was a member of the High Street Methodist Church, the Sunshine Bible Class, the WSCS, the Order of Eastern Star, and War Mothers.
Surviving are her son, Everett Godwin, Muncie, and a sister, Mrs. Lola Manor, Redkey.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Meeks Mortuary with Dr. Harold D. Neel, pastor of the High Street Methodist Church, in charge. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Callers will be received at the mortuary from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
