1871: Moved from Carroll Co. to Howard Co., IN 1871, according to wife's obituary in THE KOKOMO DAILY DISPATCH, Sat, Oct 12, 1918, p. 8.

Family story is that Dunkins owned land on one side of road in W. Middleton, while the Middletons owned land on other side.

At 4th of July, young men of W Middleton would shoot Roman candles at each other.
