Services for Jean McGee Howle, 76, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Ballard officiating.

Burial will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock.

She died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002.

She was born Sept. 29, 1925, in Old Emma and graduated from Littlefield High School in 1942. She married Harry Howle on Oct. 5, 1945, in Lubbock. He died Dec. 21, 1997.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Downtown Bible class, West Texas Watercolor Society, West Texas Arts and Botanical Association, Lubbock Cultural Affairs, Ozark Pastel Society and Western Federation of Watercolor Societies.

A son, Michael James Howle, preceded her in death Jan. 30, 1947.

Survivors include two sons, David of Plainview and Tim of Lubbock; a daughter, Melissa A. Hershey of Austin; a sister, Jo Lively of Plainview; and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Meals on Wheels of Lubbock, 2304 34th St., Lubbock, TX 79411.
