Death of former citizen of Page - Solomon Comer, brother of Mr. George H. Comer, of this county, died at home, in Oregon, Holt Co., Mo., May 7th. The local paper of that county, in chronicling his death, has this to say of him:
"Of Mr. Comer it may be safely said, "He tried to live a Christian life.
The deceased was born in Page Co., Va., in 1817, and was married in 1847 to Miss Ann Grove, in Luray, who with ten children, survive him. In 1854 the deceased came to Holt county, where he has resided up to the time of his death. He had been a consistent member of the Regular Baptist church here since 1856. His remains were followed to Maple Grove cemetery on Sunday by a large concourse of sorrowing friends, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. C. W. Miller.
