Efrosina was born in Tinaja, NM on August 30, 1921, a daughter of the late Rita(Lopez) and Juan Trujillo.
She graduated from Maxwell, NM.
She was the widow of Joe I Baca, they were married on April 5, 1943, in Raton, NM. He preceded her in death on Dec 16, 2005.
Best known as Mrs. Baca, she was a wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family first. She was a talented seamstress and quilter whose creations are still treasured by many. A woman of great faith, she was an active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church who served as a Eucaristic Minister, lectern, greeter, and church volunteer.
She is survived by: Daughter Rita, wife of Ed Masias, of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Lorraine, wife of Charlie Martinez, of Hugoton, KS; Daughter of Annabel Baca, of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Gloria Jean Ojeda, of Pueblo, CO; Son Joe, husband of Elsie Baca, Jr., of Colorado Springs, CO; Son Charles Baca, of Pueblo, CO; Sister Josie Garcia, of Taos, NM; Brother Jose Trujillo, of AZ; Brother Juan Trujillo, of Belen, NM. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Efrosina was preceded in death by her parents and husband Joe.
A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM all at the St Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, on Tuesday, December 10th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. A viewing will be on Monday, December 9th from 9 AM until 5 PM at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
