Mary A. Hall
Fulton county's oldest former resident died last week at the age of 104. A double funeral was held for Mary Alice STOUGH HALL, and her 81-year-old daughter, Fay EDDINGTON REESE, former Macy resident.
Mrs. Hall was a resident of Fulton county from 1891 to 1923. Blind for the last 30 years, she lived with her daugher, Marie REISH, in Kent, O.
Mrs. Hall was born May 2, 1872, in Linkville just across the county line in Marshall county. She attended Linkville one-room school, starting at the age of five, in 1877.
She married Elmer HALL July 20, 1891, in the home of his parents, Daniel D. and Emily HALL, in Plymouth, with Rev. John WALBRIGHT officiating.
Hall was a farmer in Fulton county for many years, living near Kewanna, Leiters Ford and Grass Creek.
The Halls had eight children: Olive (Mrs. Worley JONES) in 1892, Fay (Mrs. Ray EDDINGTON, later Mrs. Lloyd REESE) 1895; Cecil (Mrs. Clarence BUNTIN) 1898; Marie (Mrs W. H. REISH) 1900; Lonnie HALL 1903, Clara (Mrs. Fernandas BABCOCK) 1906; Milo Rex [HALL] 1908, and Lorene (Mrs. J. C. ROE) 1911.
Mrs. Hall died the same day as one of her daughters, Mrs. Reese. Burial for Mrs. Reese was in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery, and for Mrs. Hall, the [Moon] cemetery 10 miles west of Rocheter. The Rev. Floyd MORRIS of the Sharon Wesleyan church conducted the double funeral.
