Lodge Steward Dies at Miles

MILES CITY, MT. ---- Mott M. Ball, 71 of Miles City died Thursday in a Miles City Hospital following several months of illness.

Mr. Ball was born Feb. 7, 1887, in Washington, D.C.
He came to Montana in 1905.
He was employed first at the Terrett Ranch near Brandenburg, MT.
In 1908 he homesteaded near Stacey, MT.

He was married there in 1913 to Mabel Hamilton.

They resided in Lewistown for five years and since 1923 have made their home in Miles City where he was employed by various firms and was steward at the Elks Lodge until his illness.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Corbin f Ephrata, WA., and Cmdr. Joe Ball, USN, now in Japan.; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Dugaard of Moses Lake, WA., Mrs. Ruth Taylor of Edmunda, WA., Mrs. Jean Brokoks of Kensington, MD., and Mrs. Helen Sayatovic of Butte, MT., a sister Mrs. Hattie Berger of Tacoma Park, MD.

A number of grandchildren also survive.

The body is at the Graves Funeral Home.
