Mary Magdalena Kiser is the daughter of Johann Michael Kiser (1735-1798) and Anna Marie Eppert (1739-1805). She was first married 4 Aug 1792 in Rockingham County, VA to John Shuler (born about 1775, died 1805-1810). They had at least six children:

Elizabeth (1799-1879) m. to Paul Long

Mary was married 28 Nov 1810 in Rockingham County, VA to Abraham Step (1772-c1835). They had at least three children:
Michael David Step (1812-1888) m1 1834 to Matilda Yager, m2 1861 to Margaret Jane Plum
Mary Magdalena Step (1818-1897) m. 1836 to Jesse Jarrot McKenney
Nancy Step (c1818-?) m. 1831 to Henry Jeremiah Kite.

She came with several of her children and their families to Edgar County, Illinois from Page County Virginia in about 1839.
