Born July 1, 1949, in Jonesport, Maine, Fred Berry was a son of Thurman Berry and Leona Polk Berry. He graduated from Jonesport High School in 1968. He served in the Marines, loved to fish and hunt, enjoyed collecting guns and camping with his family.
Fred was survived by his wife, Sandy Parks Berry; and his children, Axel James Berry and Haley Berry, all of Michigan, Stacey Ginn and husband, Joseph, of Blaine and Jeanette Smith and husband, Peter, of Ellsworth; his grandchildren, Annie Moody of Woodland and Colby Flagg of Steuben; sister, Bertha Raymond and husband, Ronald, of Winslow and their 10 children; and brothers, Rick Berry and Michael Berry and his two children, all of Jonesport.
Fred was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Ellen Pottle Berry; his grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
