ADAMS, JAMES HAROLD "JIM" age 73, retired district foreman of Fort Loudon Electric Cooperative passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, October 10, 2000, at his home in Greenback. Mr. Adams, a member of First United Presbyterian Church of Greenback, was a WWII Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy, as both a Sea Bee and as a member of the Underwater Demolition Team. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Harold and Margaret Barnes Adams of Mansfield, Ga., and by his wife, Jean Thurman Adams. He is survived by his wife, Loretta; daughters and sons-in-law, Deb and Mike Huber of Orlando, Fla., Joy and Larry Reese of Mount Juliet; daughter and daughter's fiancee', Jill Adams and Jeff Hale of Gatlinburg; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Donna Adams of Sevierville; stepsons, Michael and Matthew Wilbur; grandchildren, Matthew Reese, John Reese, Erik Huber, Roman Reese, Anna Huber, Rachel Reese, Cale Huber, Clay Hale, and Lille Hale; stepgrandchildren, Joseph Greene and Patrick Sutton; brothers, Hugh Adams of Mansfield, Ga. and Ed Adams of Clear Lake City, Texas; sister, Meg Johnson of Monroe, Ga. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2000, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville, with a Masonic Service immediately following. Graveside services were on Friday, October 13, 2000, at 10 a.m. in the Mortganton Cemetery on Tellico Lake in Greenback with Rev. Dennis Cagle, Rev. David Bell and Rev. Steve Doyal officiating. McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
