The funeral of Charles Stanford, who died at his home 383 State St., Sunday morning will take place this morning and will be private. The body will be taken to the Earl Crematory, Troy and the ashes will be placed in a vault in the Rural Cemetery.
Mr. Stanford is a retired real estate dealer, son of the late Charles Stanford and nephew of Leland Stanford, founder of Stanford University, California. He has lived in Albany virtually all of his life. He is survived by his wife, who before her marriage, was Miss Lillian Bacon; one daughter, Marjory Stanford; two brothers, Welton Stanford of Locust Grove, Albany Road and Winfield Stanford of Patonia, Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Maud Stanford Kinmonth of Patonia, Florida, Mrs. Thomas Wells of Meldaurner, Florida and Mrs. Jennie Stanford Byington of Pasadena, California.
