Services for Mrs. Ruth Hall Carmean, 77, a resident of Harlingen for 37 years, were scheduled at 4 p.m. today in St. Alban's Episcopal Church. The Rev. G. W. Mason, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Brownsville was to officiate. Burial was to be in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, Brownsville.
Mrs. Carmean, owner of Carmean's Hats, died in Valley Baptist Hospital after an illness of about two months.
She is survived by a son, W. R. Carmean Jr. of Brownsville; a brother, Atwell Duncan of Hamilton; and two grandchildren.
