Obituary: Sidney Andrew Liddell passed away December 16, 2006 in Ogden, Utah. He was born July 25, 1917 in Erda, Utah to Blanche Benson and Laurence Thomson Liddell. Sidney graduated from Tooele High School in 1936. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard on the USS Colorado during WWII. He married Fern Henrie Haycock in Ogden in 1984. He worked as a salesman during most of his career and served on the Washington Terrace City Council. Sidney was a member of the Washington Terrace 6th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a strong testimony of the gospel and served many church callings. For many years he and Fern enjoyed ballroom dancing.

Sidney is survived by his children, Lawrence "Larry" Sidney (Dolores) Liddell of Stansbury Park; Marlene (Keith) Hardy and Lanna Liddell of Harrisville; brother, Joseph "Joe" Liddell of Tooele; and sister, Velma (Dale) Droubay of Clearfield; step-chil-dren, John Henrie Haycock and George Joel Haycock of Ogden; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and ten step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Adrian, and LaVar; and sister, Mae Cooley. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Internment at Washington Heights Memorial Park.
