Mrs. Ballenger retired as a secretary from St. Matthews United Methodist Church. She was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Lynne Spickard and husband Bob of Mauldin; son, Ed Ballenger and wife Charlotte of Irmo; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Mauldin First Baptist Church, 150 S. Main St., Mauldin, SC or McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC.
