Nelson Skelton, 77, resident of Winslow, died yesterday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock, at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. W. Malotte, 603 South School Street, following an illness of three years. Mr. Skelton was born September 15, 1875, at Sunset, the son of Robert and Julia Skelton. He was a retired farmer and a member of Church of Christ. Survivors inlcude his wife, Daisy Skelton of thehome, four sons, Arlie Skelton of Los Angeles, Calif., Everett Skelton of Fayetteville, George Skelton, Goshen, and Vernon Skelton of Fullerton, Calif.,; five daughters, Mrs. HAttie Douglas, Arcadia, Calif., Mrs. Rema Collins, Durham, Mrs. Julia Dennis, Upland, Calif., Mrs. Floy Jarnigan, Buena Park, Calif., Mrs. Rose Bower, Nampa, Idaho; 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. J. W. Malotte of Fayetteville; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Juanita Marley of Tulsa. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m.,tomorrow in the Church of Christ by Jimmy Ramey of Winslow assisted by Dr. Walter Johnson. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the Sunset cemetery, east of Winslow with burial under the direction of Nelson's funeral Home.
