Rankin "Scott" Jones 82, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at Indiana (PA)Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Theodore Rankin Jones and Hazel (Scott) Jones, born on December 11, 1925, Indianapolis , IN.
During WWII he served in the US ArmyAir Corps. He owned and operated his own business, Automated Handling Company Inc. He was a life member of NRA. He enjoyed the outdoors serving as scout master for the Boy Scouts of America and canoeing. Scott was a true renaissance man for his love of classical arts and music.
Surviving are his three children, Stephen and wife Carol Jones of Meeteetse,WY; Kevin and wife Janet Jones of Cody,WY; Brian and wife Lynee Jones of Indiana, PA; four grandchildren, Shane Pickering and wife Sherri, Kimberly, Erin and Madeline Jones; two great grandchildren, Liam and Matthew. A special Aunt "Ruth" Josephine Dickman of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Delores (Yarian) Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, (1-27-08) at 2 p.m. in Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, where friends may call on Sunday from 12 to 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scout Troop# 275, co Faith Presbyterian Church, 8170 Hague Rd.,Indpls., IN 46256.
