DEPORT--Virgie E. Trussell, 82, of Canton, died Thursday, January 25, 2001, in Canton HealthCare Center.
Wood Funeral Home conducted graveside services at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, in Woodard Cemetery in Lamar County.
She was born in Kaufman County, August 15, 1918, to James William Archibald and Hettie Jane Worthy Archibald. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Canton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Trussell, on January 13, 1980; and a son, Truman Eugene Trussell on July 17, 1935.
Surviving are her children, Lena Marie Trussell Hobbs of Garland and J.W. Trussell of Canton; 5 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
