Anne Brierly Fischer, 61, of Porter, died Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. She was born November 15, 1950 in Union City, Indiana to Marion Eugene "Gene" Brierly and Aileen (Nielson) Brierly. Anne graduated from Columbus High School at Columbus, Indiana in 1969. She continued her education at William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Anne was a former member of the Oklahoma State Board of Education. She owned and operated Blackledge and Fischer Orchards in Porter. She was preceded in death by her parents. Anne loved her dogs, Hank, Missy, Ella, Cooper, Sallie and Buster. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Fosters' Ivory Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Tullahassee Fire Department. Friends may wish to remember Anne by making donations for her medical expenses. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
