29 October 1901 the oldest child Motyl Moyshe (Max) who was then 18 years old, arrived at the port of Ellis Island with his brother Abram Icek (Abe) who was then 11 years old. They came on the ship Friesland which had sailed from Antwerp. Israel had paid for their passage, and they were to meet him at 173 Ludlow Street in NYC.
