Manor was pronounced dead on arrival at the Murphysboro hospital Saturday at 4 p.m. He had been under care for a heart ailment for about five years.
He was born in Ava in 1900, and had lived in the Ava area all of his life. He was a farmer.
He was married in 1927 to Bertha Bartlett, who survives. He also laves twosons, Cpl. Randall Gene Manor of Camp Gordon, Ga., and Lester Dean at home, one sister, Mrs. H. V. Carruthers of Ava, and one step-brother, Raymond Aubry of Jacob.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ava.
Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava until the hour of services, Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ava, the Rev. J. W. Patterson officiating. Burial will be in the Ava Evergreen Cemetery.
