On 4/20/1996, Edward was boating with friends, on the Wisconsin River, when he decided to make "one last run". When he didn't return, his friends began to look for him. What they found, was Edward's empty boat (with the engine still idling), stuck in some brush, at the edge of the river, but Edward was nowhere to be found.
Over a year later (2/1997), a candlelight vigil was held for Edward, by his family & friends.
While it was assumed that Edward drowned in the river, his body had not been recovered, preventing any kind closure for his family, & friends.
I was unable to find any record, that Edward Matthews' body, was ever recovered from The Wisconsin River.
