Mr. Otto Baehr was born at Neufaltenberg, Pomerania, Germany, on May 13th, 1863 and died Oct. 25th, 1928, aged 65 years, 5 months and 12 days, death being due to heart ailment.
Mr. Baehr was the son of Carl and fredericka (Wurdel) Baehr and the family immigrated to America in the spring of 1878. After residing in Milwaukee for several months with a son, Frank, who had preceded them to this country, the family moved to Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., where Carl Baehr bought a farm in Section 23, Town of Mayville, Clark County. Otto bought this farm from the estate of his father in 1892 and lived on it up to the time of his death.
He was Married to Miss Louisa Theel of Kiel on Aug. 24, 1895, a daughter of William and Fredericka (Wichmann) Theel. This union was blessed with nine children, all of whom are living. They are: Ervin of Detroit, Mich., Amanda of Milwaukee, William of Champion-Urbana, Ill., Arthur at home, Frieda of Madison, Wis., Robert of Chicago, Ill., Clara, Leona and Clarence at home.
Apart from his wife and children, Mr. Baehr is survived by two brothers, Arthur of Dorchester and Robert of Germany and a sister, Mrs. Martha Koerher of Dorchester.
