Morris W. Pittman, 83, Ripley, died March 18, 2003, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He owned and operated the N MS Industrial Cleaning, was a veteran of the US Army in WWII Unit 490, Anti Air-Craft. His father was the late William Pittman. Services were March 20 at 1 pm at McBride Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Union Cemetery at Chalybeate. Bro Bill Baker and Bro Maurice Pinkston officiated. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Wilbanks Pittman, Ripley; one son, David Pittman and wife, Donna, Germantown, TN; one step-son, Myron Flake and wife, Diane, Walnut; two step-daughters, Teresa Wilbanks and husband, Don, Bartlett, TN, and Sherri Walden and husband, David, Collierville; 8 grandchildren, Stacey Pittman, Jason and Christopher Walden, Brad, Josh, and Michael Wilbanks, Jessica and Seth Flake. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Clyde Pittman. Pallbearers were Fred Enis, William Griffin, Myron Flake, David Walden, Don Wilbanks, Jason Walden, Chris Walden, and Bradley Wilbanks.
