Phyllis I. Searcy, 66, of Brazil died September 2, 2002 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital. She was born March 20, 1936 in Terre Haute, the daughter of Oliver and Valara Malone Perrill. She graduated from Gerstmeyer High School, Class of 1954. On June 12, 1954 she married Norman Searcy he survives. She was a member of Eastern Star Knightsville Chapter #238. She enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Norman; three daughters, Debbie Searcy, Cheryl Brinson and husband David, Brenda Woods and husband Mike; one son Gary Searcy; six grandchildren, Jason Woods, Heather Woods, Justin Searcy, Matthew Searcy, Schuyler Brinson, and Danielle Brinson; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis Perrill and wife Kay; several nieces and nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Thelma Dickerson and a grandson Michael Jeremiah Woods.


Funeral Information
Services will be Saturday, September 7, 2002 at 1:00 pm at French Funeral Home with Bob Kumpf officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 6, 2002 from 4-8 pm and Saturday prior to the service.
