Ruth Forster, 77, of Elk Creek, Virginia, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, Virginia. She was the widow of Russell Emil Forster. She was bom on October 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel Moore Hoffman.
She is survived by two sons, Edwin Forster of Elk Creek, Virginia, and Lyle Forster and his wife Judy of Galax, Virginia; a stepson, Dakota Lundy of Galax, Virginia; a sister, Evelyn Powell and her husband Wesley of Tewksbury Twp., NJ; two brothers, Raymond Hoffman and wife Pat of Belvidere, NJ, and Myron Hoffman and wife Bessie of Bridgewater, NJ.
A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 in the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Chapel in Independence, Virginia. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fairmount Rural Cemetery in Tewksbury Township, NJ under the direction of the Coughlin Funeral Home, in Califon, NJ.
