Funeral services for Hester Victoria Lindstrom, 83, of Weyburn, were held at 1 PM, Wednesday July 18th from the Free Methodist Church, Weyburn with Reverend Hill officiating.
Mrs. Lindstrom passed away Sunday, July 15, 1984 in the Plains Health Center in Regina, Saskatchewan.
She was predeceased by her first husband Samuel Thomas; her second husband Melvin Lindstrom.
Mrs. Lindstrom is survived by 2 sons; William Arthur Thomas of Edmonton, Alberta; Rae Donald Thomas of Parry, Saskatchewan; 2 sisters, Jessie Boyd of Kenora, Ontario and Connie Lillee of Plumas, Manitoba; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Hester Victoria Lindstrom (nee Andrew) was born at Hyde Park, England on the 16th February 191 and came to Plumas, Manitoba on the 30th October 1902.
Mrs. Lindstrom's early working years were spent teaching [school] in various locations throughout Saskatchewan; then in 1924 she married Samuel Thomas at Parry, Saskatchewan. They add 2 sons, William and Rae. Mr. Thomas passed away in 1942.
In 1944 she married Melvin Lindstrom. Mr. Lindstrom passed away in 1978. Following his passing, Mrs. Lindstrom eventually made her home in Weyburn. Since that time she has been an active member of the Free Methodist congregation and a worker with the aged and infirm.
Active pallbearers were Ian Thomas, Donald Thomas, Floyd Claffey, Wes Mann, Allan Ashton and Wes Powers.
Honorary pallbearers were Adolph Nelson, Edward Lindbom, Eric Vtritty, Meryl Sweigard, Gordon Boyd and Russell Andret.
Internment was held in the Regina memorial Gardens, Regina, Saskatchewan, with the Weyburn Funeral home in charge of the arrangements.
