Died in Hennepin township, Putnam county, Dec. 12, of typhoid fever, Aaron Newburn, 29 years, 4 months 12 days, son of Mahlon Newburn of this city.
The remains of Aaron Newburn of Hennepin township, were interred in Henry cemetery on Tuesday beside his mother's. He was the son of Mahlon Newburn. He came to Henry five weeks ago yesterday and on that day was taken sick. When he reached home he took to his bed with malarial fever, which caused his death. He owned the farm upon which he died and leaves a wife bereft of a warm, devoted husband. He was a young man of good character and will be deplored[sic?] by a large circle of friends.
Hennepin - Aaron Newburn died at Sprinkleburg at 4 a.m. on Monday, after 4 1/2 weeks illness said to be typho-malarial fever. Buried in Henry cemetery beside his mother on Tuesday. Age about 29. The last day that he was out he went to Henry and came home sick. He leaves a wife but no children. His sister, Mrs. George Baxendale of Peoria, came up with her husband on Saturday before his death. His brother Stephen came from Iowa on Monday, after his death. His father Mahlon Newburn lives in Henry. Many of the relatives and friends in Hennepin were prevented from attending the burial by the almost impassable condition of the roads.
