Mrs. Anna Lee Scroggs, wife of Edgar Scroggs, of Franklin, Route 1, died Monday, March 11, at her home. She was 76 and had been in declining health for some time.
Funeral services for Mrs. Scroggs, a native of Oconee County, Ga., were conducted the 14th at 2:30 p.m. at the Louisa Chapel Methodist Church, of which she was a member, by the Rev. J. C. Lane, and the Rev. Carl Sizemore. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Paul and Earl Blaine, Glenn and Doyle Cloer, Robert McCracken and Richard Bingham.
Born Feb. 5, 1887, she was the daughter of Enos {James Enos}and Mrs. Theodocia Chastain Scroggs. She and Mr. Scroggs were married Aug. 17, 1908 in South Carolina. In addition to her husband, surviving are a son, Thomas L. Scroggs, of Franklin, Route 1, a daughter, Mrs. Boyd Collier, of Route 1, a half-brother, Perry Scrogggs of Griffin, GA and three grandchildren.
