Carl F. Fischer, 91, of Lapeer, died May 24, 2002. He was born Feb. 15, 1911 to the late Fred and Esther (Relitz) Fischer.He married Dawn in 1943. He was employed as a truck driver in Ypsilanti and later at Kurth Bakery in Lapeer. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder, Board of Vestry member, on the building committee and the 125 anniversary committee. He also did much of the church landscaping. He is survived by three nephews; step-grandchildren; and his special cousin, Viola Fischer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn; parents; two sisters, Leone Hagemeister and Marie Cize; and two step-daughters, Annette and Betty. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Landscaping Fund. Funeral services were Tuesday (May 28, 2002) at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lapeer. The Rev. Marvin W. Ramthun officiated. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Lapeer. Arrangements by Baird-Newton Funeral Home, Lapeer.
