David Allen Harper, 48, formerly of Polk, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at Brethren Care Village in Ashland where he had resided the past year.

He was born in Lodi on Dec. 21, 1962, to Daniel and Dorothy Lance Harper. He was a 1982 graduate of Mapleton High School and had resided in Sullivan most of his life.

He was a former employee of Pizza Hut in Ashland.

Surviving are two brothers, Richard (Arzella) Harper and Harold (Mary) Harper of Ashland; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as extended family at Brethren Care and Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will take place 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, in Sullivan Southview Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Tracy will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brethren Care Village, 2000 Center St., Ashland, Ohio 44805; or Hospice of North Central Ohio, Inc., 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland.
