Born in Logan, Utah on April 23, 1923 to Joseph P. Morrell and Ada Eliza England. Graduate of Logan High School.
Married Henry Boyd Shelton on November 15, 1941; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Made Salt Lake City their home, where they raised four children.
Helen was a homemaker and active member of the LDS Church. She served several years in the Ward and Stake Relief Society Organizations, was an active member of The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and loved music. Enjoyed travel, card clubs, dancing, and being with family.
She is now back in the loving arms of her sweetheart who preceded her in death. Survived by four children: David (Nancy) Shelton, Citrus Heights, California; Gary (Diane) Shelton, Kaysville, Marilyn Peterson, Taylorsville; Dianne (Ray) McCarty, West Valley City; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
A viewing at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011.
Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery.
