GERBER Graveside services for Clarence Verner Hinkle, 81, of Gerber will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Red Bluff.

Mr. Hinkle, who lived most of his life in Red Bluff, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at his residence.

Born March 27, 1923, in Spalding, Neb., he moved to Tehama County in 1927. He was -- truck driver and -- World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include wife Carrol; sons Matthew Culver of Quincy, William Culver III of Meadow Valley and John of Clovis; daughters Babette Fries of Red Bluff and Audry Scott of Proberta; brothers David and Marion, both of Red Bluff, and Paul of Roseville; sisters Enola Gates of Roseville, Shirley Baker of Fallon, Nev., Elsie of Red Bluff and Ina Pouton of Red Bluff; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff.
