He was united in marriage, July 9, 1870 to Sarah Ann Elkins. To this happy union 12 children were born, five preceding him in death, James, Lewis, Roxy, Eva, Delphia and Perry Greene.
He is survived by his children, Mary Jane (Mack) Monroe, Nancy (Samuel) Spires and Lloyd, John, William, Henry, Howard and Hugh Dalton and Thomas from a previous marriage. He also leaves a brother Thomas and a sister Risba of West Virginia, forty-five grandchildren, fifty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Dalton has lived a long and happy life and was much beloved and respected by all. He passes into the Great Beyond with a happy and faithful heart, sure of a hand to lead him to the loved ones gone before.
