Mrs. Carrie Clark, 62, of Springfield, died yesterday at her residence following a heart attack which she suffered earlier in the day. Mrs. Clark was born in Palmyra, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Preston. She married Thomas Fore, a member of the city police force, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 10, 1931, she married Fred Clark.
Surviving are her husband; four sons, Milford and James Fore, of Detroit, Mich., and Leo and Marvin Fore, both of Springfield; a daughter, Mrs. Erma Jarrell, of city; a stepson, Charles Clark of Kincaid; stepdaughter Mrs. Thelma Gassage of Benton; brothers Frank Preston of Quitqaque, Tex. and "Pres" Preston of Carlinville; sister Mrs. Clara Utterback of Pawnee; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
