A viewing for family and friends will be from 10 am to 12 pm (noon), Friday, Nov. 25th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Graveside services will follow at 2 pm at the Owyhee Cemetery, Nyssa. A remembrance gathering will follow at the Owyhee Church. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
Betty was born April 28, 1925, to Rudolf and Lilly Blanche (Cantrall) Hite in Nyssa, Oregon. She was the youngest of 10 children. Betty spent her childhood in the Owyhee community area. She attended Owyhee Grade School and Adrian High School.
She married Harley Wilson on June 7, 1941. They farmed in Sunset Valley until Harley's death in 1978. They had five children: Bill, Darrell, Melvin, Lila and Kenny.
After Harley's death, Betty moved to Ontario where she lived until 2010, when she moved into the Payette Care and Rehabilitation Center in Payette, ID.
She is survived by her children, Darrell and Helen Wilson, of Parma, Melvin and Debbie Wilson, of Payette, Lila Wilson-Smith, of Caldwell, Kenny and Debbie Wilson, of Adrian; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harley; her nine brothers and sister; son, Bill Wilson; and grandson, Karl Wilson.
