Oneta Joyce Fulgham Shurden, 79, passed away on November 21, 2011 at Vicker's Personal Care Home in Mathiston, MS.
Ms. Shurden was Secretary to the Dean of Engineering at Mississippi State University.
She was a Member of Meadowview Baptist Church in Starkville.
She loved Crochet, Needle Point, Gardening, Flowers, Sports and she was a good Pianist.
She was a Member of Avon's President's Club.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Anthony Champion Fulgham and Ila Belle Reed Fulgham; Sisters, Hazel Fulgham and Mavis Betts; Brothers, Doyle, Loyce, Leon, Morris and Gerald Fulgham.
She was survived by her Daughters, Voncile S. Crow of Starkville, MS; and Yvonne S. Winfield and Husband, John, of Cumberland; Son, John Dale Shurden and Wife, Barbara, of Beaumont, TX; Sister, Hilda Peay of Rolling Fork, MS; eight Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Welch Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Double Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
