He was a native of Wythe County.
He was born on February 20, 1872 a son of Austin and Elizabeth Kincer Hillenburg
He had been a farmer at New River for a number of years.
He is survived by his widow and the following children, K. N. Hillenburg of Roanoke Mrs. Sallie Vance of Danvilleand Mrs. Kemper Long of Reidsville, S. C.
