Modlene Kimmenauer was born 27 January 1847 to Bernhard Kimmenauer and Magdalena (Stengel) Kimmenauer in Reinhardsmunster, Alsace, France. They emigrated to America from France and arrived in New York aboard the ship Robert Kelly on November 21, 1850. David Woolf married Modlene Kimmenauer in 1866. The Kimminhauer family first settled in Little York, Hunterdon County, N.J., before moving to Bucks County, Pa. Later in life they lived in Hunterdon County, N.J. They had the following children: Anthony, Benjamin, Veronika, Oliver, Modlene, Samuel, Catherine, Joseph and Michael. Modlene Kimmenauer Woolf died in Spring Mills, Hunterdon County, NJ on 16 March 1925. She married David Woolf. They had one child; Benjamin Franklin Woolf. He inherited the family farm in Spring Mills, N.J.
