Lonnie Harlan Lane, 55, Martinsville, passed suddenly at his residence on Monday, November 21st, 2011.
He was born September 1st, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harlan Stanley and Ada June (Reynolds) Lane.
Mr. Lane worked at Federal Mogul in Mooresville, Indiana for twenty one years, was a carrier for the Indianapolis Star for sixteen years and he currently worked for Wal-Mart in Martinsville; where he had worked for the past eight years as a tire & lube express supervisor.
He was a graduate of Martinsville High School in 1974 and also graduated from Lincoln Technical College in Indianapolis; where he received his degree in auto mechanics. He also completed several on-line computer courses.
He was a member of ABATE and Morgan County Riders. He enjoyed motorcycling and working with computers.
He leaves behind his wife of over thirty two years, Judy E. (Littell) Lane of Martinsville; they were united in marriage on October 6th, 1979. He is also survived by three sons, Joe (Melissa), Nick (Lori) and Ben Lane all of Martinsville, one daughter, Jennifer Lane, also of Martinsville, one cousin, Mary Lou Reynolds of Indianapolis and four grandchildren, Samantha Bray and Freja, Raeden and Ali Lane.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Calypso Lane and two brothers.
Friends are welcome to visit on Saturday, November 26th from 2:00-4:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A celebration of life service to be officiated by Rev. Pat Davis will begin at 4:00 pm at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Friends and family are invited to bring food and fellowship with the family following the service at Charlie's Drive-In, 160 Morton Ave., Martinsville, IN.
