Son of William and Margaret (Fitzsimmons) Ballard. He was educated in Limestone schools and was a retired farmer.

He was married to the late Eva (Dodge) Ballard.

He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Caribou.

Obituary:

CARIBOU - William W. Ballard, 88, died Aug. 22, 1978, at a Danforth nursing home following a long illness. He was born in Limestone, Nov. 5, 1889, the son of William and Margaret Fitzsimmons Ballard. He was educated in Limestone schools and was a retired farmer. He was married to the late Eva Dodge Ballard. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Caribou.

He is survived by one brother, Clyde of Mars Hill; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kempton Malley Ballard of Newman, Ga.; one grandson, Kempton Ballard Jr. of Douglasville, Ga.; one great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home in Caribou Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Services will be held at 11 A.M. from the chapel of the Mocker Funeral Home with Alexander Smith, president of the Caribou branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiating. Interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
