Funeral Services for George Thomas Lovelace was held in Johnson Memorial Church with the Revs Dan Johnson and Mack Hamm officiating. Burial was to be in Indian Creek Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Mr Lovelace died in his home after a short illness.

He was retired farmer and stockman and for a period of time he delivered the mail for the US Postal System. He was born April 19, 1881 in Milam County Star, TX. He lived most of his life in Brown County and was a resident of Brownwood for the past 20 years. Mr Lovelace was a member of the Indian Creek Methodist Church , married Katie Sandol Martin at Indian Creek in 1905.

Survivors include his wife, sons, Holmes Lovelace of Irving and Martin Lovelace of Benbrook, 3 daughters Mrs Otie Angenette Cason of Brownwood, Mrs Zeola Frances Johnson of Lovington, NM, and Mrs Mary Blanche Jones of Odessa, three brother Ben Lovelace of Brownwood, Ray Lovelace of San Antonio and Allen Lovelace of Santa Anna, one sister Mrs Edith Cockrell of Brownwood. Six grandchildren and two great-granchildren.
