She was married 21 July 1880 to Joseph Peter Bray in L'Anse, Baraga, Michigan. He died of TB which was passed on to Mary, leaving their five children orphans and in the care of their grandfather Rev. David Alonzo Curtis.

It is not known where her husband was buried, but he was likely to have been buried with his mother, Lavinia Bray, in Marquette as they were living there for a while.

Their two other children, besides those linked here, were Arthur Curtis Bray Memorial #8722556 and Ethel Bray Daley whose grave has not been located.
