Services for Ermon Holcomb, 96, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Ainsworth, associate pastor of the Church on the Rock, and the Rev. Terry Sanders, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

She died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, in the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colo.

She was born Dec. 25, 1901, in Marshall, Ark. She moved to Lubbock in 1937. She married Ed Holcomb on June 20, 1925, in Blair, Okla. He died on July 2, 1958. She graduated from Midway High School and attended Weatherford Teachers College and the University of Colorado. She was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class, the Lubbock Rose Society and the Metropolitan Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by a son, Edgar Holcomb, in September 1947.

Survivors include two daughters, Pat Blanton of Lubbock and Ann Ainsworth of Greeley, Colo.; one son, Donald Holcomb; one brother, Jasper Dennis of Houston; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
