Lived near Whiterock, a small town in Hunt Co. and owned a small farm. He was married to Margaret Anna DeFee nee Carr on 30 Nov 1859, Georgia. Green was in Company E., 1st Alabama Infantry Regiment throughout the entire Civil War. Captured several times and released through prisoner exchange. Green is mentioned in the book, "From Tall Grass to High Cotton"...Published by Wolfe City C of C, Wolfe City, Texas. Green and Margaret had eight children..Laura Irene, Minnie L, Maggie(Margaret), William J.(My Grandfather), Mattie M., John C., James G., Harmon F....Many of these are buried in Texarkana, Tex. Green's wife Margaret, is buried here in Kingston Cemetery.
