NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Agnes M. (Baukus) Loyer, 107, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. She was the widow of John L. Loyer.

Mrs. Loyer was born in Naugatuck on Nov. 5, 1904, a daughter of the late Jonas and Marcella (Leiponis) Baukus. She was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck, formerly worked at the U.S. Rubber Company and Risdon Manufacturing in Naugatuck and was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck. She was a member of the Naugatuck Eagles Club Ladies Auxillary and also the V.F.W. Post 1946 Ladies Auxillary. She loved going to Pokeno and Bingo parties, cooking, knitting, crocheting and traveling.

Mrs. Loyer is survived by a daughter, June L. Williams of Naugatuck; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marjorie Loyer, a son, Ronald Loyer, two sisters, Ann Butkus and Frances Johnson, and three brothers, William Baukus, Peter Baukus and Charles Baukus.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hour is Tuesday Nov. 22, 2011, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
