Last night at 11:45 the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Granger, Alice, aged three years, died, and it was rumored that diphtheria was the cause. The Inquirer reporter called this morning upon, Dr. Fouts, attending physician, to get the facts in the case. He said he had treated diphtheria a number of times, and that the little girl did not have it. It was a case of severe catarrhal trouble of throats and head, and that no alarm need be felt.
