Leo Correll, 86, Sumner, died at 8:38 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville.
Services will be in United Church of Christ in Sumner with Rev. Paula Gustafson presiding. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday in the Sivert-Macey Funeral Home in Sumner. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Correll was born Dec. 10, 1897, in Illinois, the son of John Allen and Matilda (Conrad) Correll. He married Toletha Osborn Feb. 25, 1934, in Farmers City and she survives.
He was a retired school teacher and superintendent and was the retired executive secretary of the Illinois Elementary School Association.
Other survivors include two daughters, Shirley and Kay Furman, both of Waynesville; a step-son, Franklin Correll, Sumner; a sister Ruby Correll, Lawrenceville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
