Teddy Cline was born Oct. 6, 1947, in Milton, West Virginia. He passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, in Nampa, Idaho, and has gone to heaven to be with his beloved mother and father, Margaret (Estes) Cline and Albert Cline Jr., and his sister, Donna Marie (Cline) Zuniga. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert Cline Sr. and Nancy May Cline, and numerous aunts and uncles. At a young age Teddy and his family moved to the Homedale area and later settled in Middleton. Teddy went to Mary Lynn VanBuren School in Caldwell. He competed in the Special Olympics and loved to attend the dances, bowling and other special events held by the dedicated people in the special education community such as his longtime coach, teacher and friend, Mary Nelson. Teddy had a love for old cars and enjoyed car shows, the Homedale Demolition Derby, Sunday afternoon drives and family gatherings. And we can't forget his special girl, Libby Banks, who was his friend and dance partner for 45 years.

Teddy is survived and will be greatly missed by his two brothers and a sister, Steve (Debi) Cline of Caldwell, Joe (Sondy) Cline of Homedale, and Susan Vazquez of Boise; and four nieces and three nephews, Sarah Cline of Caldwell, Lisa Biltoft of Boise, Penny (Brent) Christensen of Middleton, Amanda Bottger of Portland, Ore., Jimmy (Angie) Green of Star, Travis Cline of Caldwell, and Joey Cline of Homedale.

The family would like to express its gratitude to Teddy's care provider of 16 years, Dale Ann Cayler and her family. Dale Ann not only provided excellent care to Teddy, she loved him and took him into her family and provided a quality of life that his own Mother would have been proud of. They became Teddy's second family and loved him dearly.

He was very special to Joan Cayler, Maggie Haile, Jan Sauer, Sandy Wade and David Ferro and family. Special thanks to Dr. Jonathon Chu, Trinity Mission of Midland and Care First Hospice for taking such good care of Teddy.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, followed by a luncheon and reception at the home of Mike and Joan Cayler, 5222 S. 10th, Caldwell. Teddy enriched the lives of all who knew him. A sweeter soul was never put on this earth. He will be remembered for his smile, charm and enduring innocence. We will miss you, Teddy, but find comfort that you will once again be in the arms of your beloved Mother.
